Where Every Bossway Campervan Is Built

Our Peterborough workshop is where ideas become campervans. Every Origin, Horizon and Adventure is handcrafted here by our team — and customers are welcome to visit at any stage of their build.

Bossway Motorhomes Peterborough workshop — campervan conversion facility
Our Facility

7 Dodson Way, Peterborough

Based in Peterborough, PE1 5XJ — central to the UK and accessible from across England. Customers travel from Scotland, Wales, the South West and everywhere in between to collect their campervan.

The Bossway workshop is a purpose-fitted conversion facility where each build goes through every stage under one roof — from bare base vehicle to finished, inspected campervan. Every decision we make on layout, materials and fittings happens here.

We work with Ducato-style base vehicles including Fiat Ducato, Citroën Relay, Peugeot Boxer and Vauxhall Movano — each offering the interior width and load space that makes for a practical, liveable campervan conversion. Our workshop can accommodate multiple builds simultaneously, which allows build slots to remain predictable.

Workshop visits are encouraged. Whether you are in the early stages of researching campervans or ready to discuss a specific layout and specification, you are welcome to come in, see the current builds and speak directly with the people building your future campervan.

The Build Process

How a Bossway Campervan Is Made

From a bare panel van to a finished luxury campervan — here is what happens at each stage of a Bossway build.

1

Design & Specification

We work through your layout, length, berth count, roof type, upholstery, electrical spec and finish. The configurator gives you a starting point; the workshop conversation makes it precise.

2

Base Vehicle Preparation

The donor van is stripped, cleaned, inspected and prepped. We apply thermal and acoustic insulation that works — not as an afterthought, but as a planned part of every build.

3

Electrical & Mechanical Systems

Leisure battery, solar charging, inverter, shore power hook-up, diesel or gas heating, lighting circuits and water pump are all planned, installed and tested before furniture goes in.

4

Furniture & Cabinetry

Lightweight furniture is fitted to your chosen layout — kitchen run, overhead lockers, seat bases, bed frames and washroom. Every joint, fixing and hinge is checked before the next stage.

5

Upholstery & Finishing

Upholstered seating, flooring, wall lining, worktops and splashbacks are fitted. Appliances are installed, plumbing is connected and lighting is wired. The van begins to look finished.

6

Inspection & Handover

Every system is tested on the vehicle before delivery. We walk through every feature with you on handover day — so you leave knowing exactly how your campervan works.

Our Technology

The Equipment Behind Every Build

Bossway is not a converter that buys furniture kits and assembles them. We design interiors in-house, operate our own CNC machinery, laminate our own lightweight boards and use CAD and 3D scanning throughout every build.

In-House Interior Design

Every layout is designed from scratch by our team — not sourced from a supplier catalogue. Customer modifications go direct to the people who draw the layouts, not through a third party.

CNC Precision Cutting

All furniture panels are cut on our own CNC routing equipment. Accurate to fractions of a millimetre, consistent across every build, capable of complex joinery that hand-cutting cannot reliably reproduce.

Laminated Lightweight Boards

We laminate our own composite boards rather than using standard MDF or ply. Lighter, more stable in the conditions a touring vehicle faces, with surface finishes specified by us — not dictated by supplier stock.

CAD & 3D Scanning

Every layout is drawn in CAD before any panel is cut. We 3D scan the specific base vehicle, so furniture is designed around the actual van — not a generic specification from a data sheet.

What Happens When You Collect Your Campervan

Full walkthrough

We go through every system together — heating, electrics, water, hob, toilet, roof mechanism and anything else specific to your build.

Documentation included

Your campervan comes with all relevant manuals, warranty information, appliance documents and our own usage guide covering Bossway-specific systems.

Ongoing support

Questions after handover are expected and welcome. Call us, email us or bring the van in. We are not a dealer who disappears after the sale.

Workshop Visits

Come and See Us in Peterborough

You do not need to have made a decision to visit. Customers who visit the workshop before placing an order consistently say it made the decision much clearer. Seeing a build in progress, sitting in a finished van and talking through a layout with the person who builds them changes the conversation.

We can show you L3 and L4 lengths side by side where stock allows. We can walk through a pop top mechanism. We can sit in the rear lounge, open the kitchen, check the washroom dimensions and go through the electrical spec in real life — not on a screen.

Workshop visits are by appointment. Call 01733 609930 or use the configurator to book a slot. We typically ask for around an hour, though visits often run longer when customers want to go deeper into layouts or specification.
